BeginningsThe monster known as Falling Sun came to life in early 2000. It's founding members Sergio Gonzalez and David Ulloa met that same year. For the most part, it was just two acoustic guitars playing whatever came to mind. That was until Marc Rodriguez, a mutual friend, joined the group as the drummer. All three were just novice musicians with dreams of stardom. Seeing great potential in their group, the three began a desperate search for the right bassist. Their search came to an end when another friend, Robert Ciarsolo decided to take up the bass and join the band that would forever be known as Falling Sun.
The band started out as a way to just hang out on weekends. That tradition continues to this day. The only thing that has changed is our desire to write and perform the best music possible. The music has its roots in Rock n' Roll but also feeds on Blues and touches upon every genre of music. The band has been successful in moving away from the mainstream and cliché sounds that have flooded the music industry in recent decades. Falling Sun is to the senses what blood is to the body.
Tensions soon arose between lead vocalist Sergio Gonzalez and lead guitarist David Ulloa. Though the two tried to find some mutual ground all attempts failed. Sergio Gonzalez made a dramatic exit and never again has played with Falling Sun. But just as the Phoenix rises again, so too would the band. In mid 2001, Nick Franchi the current lead vocalist, met David and Marc and the band's future was brighter than ever. Nick finally joined the band in early 2003 and out of the ashes arose a stronger and more driven Falling Sun.There has never been nor shall there be another sound like this sound. Another beast like this beast. This is Falling Sun! |
